Freddy and Jake are among my favorite characters I’ve created. They’re based on me and my friend, Jason, when we first had the idea to collaborate writing a book together, combining our talents of photography and cartooning. Here are two brief excerpts from my cartoon in which we’re finishing up the first draft of our book:
A few minutes later….
We lived together in Seattle for a few months, discussing our project, before Jason returned back east for a lovely woman he married soon after. I remained in Seattle for another decade, and I’ve always wondered what would have happened if we’d written that book. It woulda been a best-seller for sure! (There is yet time: Our friendship continues to this day, and we are always collaborating on new and unique ideas!)
