My very first acrylic paintings

I hope that by exploring and experimenting with colors, I’ll discover new paths for my creative self. My newest experience in using color is putting acrylic paint to paper. It’s something I’ve never done before, and, like rediscovering crayons, I find it liberating to be OK with not knowing what I’m doing. Here are a few of my first attempts with acrylics. These are feathers of various species of Woochie birds, and their nesting grounds.

Thanks, Wendy! It’s so fun! The paints are hard to mix because they dry so quickly, but you can add new colors easily because they dry so quickly. These are the paints I’d like to use downstairs in the Arctic Room on the walls. (That’s a project still in the works!)
