The Arctic Room sessions 1

My friend D visits the Arctic Room from time to time and plays guitar while I paint. Here’s one of our first recorded spontaneous sessions together in the Arctic Room. (Just click on this link to see an edited 3 min. video ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7fITR8eyJU

Tonight I’ve started a painting with vermillion green, cobalt blue, and titanium white. Not sure what it is yet ………. I think it’s water.

I added the white last. I like it with the white.

The painting below originated in the Arctic Video (link at the top of this blog); I’ve now added some brown and yellow, and it’s taken on an unexpectedly dark turn.

Just for fun, does anyone remember what the original painting was on this canvas?:

I remember that first one (red canvas) had the creepy little boy on it. I would have liked to have seen it!

Hi Tom, you’re right about the creepy little boy behind the red canvas. There was a Minion from “Despicable Me” under the other canvas, which is on its fourth incarnation: there was the Horrible Bird, The Flock, and now I’ve covered it again to paint something new.

The reason I haven’t shared the creepy little boy or the Minion is so that if, by chance, the orginal artists see my blog, they won’t be offended that I’ve covered up their original works.
