4-page magazines to boost creativity

Here are a few magazine covers I’ve been making for family and friends (no copies, all originals) as a way of maintaining my creative process in-between Projects. This is always a tough place for me when I’ve completed a project (Anomaly: 3 Cartoonists Lost in the Woods). If I don’t immediately start working on something new I have a tendency to fall into a lull that’s harder to get out of than if I continue creating self-directed projects. These are magazines made on a single piece of 11 x 17″ paper folded in half. They are all personalized for the recipients, and I certainly hope they enjoy them, but the real fun for me is in making them. Once they go in the mail, they are out of my hands, and I have no control over how they’re received. They just keep me going.

For my Aunt and Uncle
For 2 of my friends in Montana
